Austria on the UN Security Council, 2027–2028: Engaging in Global Politics Through “Partnership, Dialogue, and Trust”

In a world of geopolitical tensions and shattered trust, Austria is relying on its traditional strengths: diplomacy, international law, and neutral mediation. For the 2027–2028 term, the small country in the Alps will assume responsibility as a non-permanent member of the United Nations’ most powerful body. Under the central theme “Partnership – Dialogue – Trust,” Vienna has presented a comprehensive strategic program to play an active role in addressing pressing global challenges.
