Flow welcomes students to Summer Internship Programme

Flow continues to invest in the next generation of professionals with the launch of its 2026 Summer Internship Programme. The nine interns, who are enrolled at various educational institutions across Barbados, will gain hands-on experience while sharpening their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2026 interns are Chalande Headley, Tajei Greenidge, Aria Hill, Xavion Jordan, Naomi Simpson, Princess Callender, Kamal Ifill, Ajani Power and Joshua Waithe. Running throughout July, the internship gives participants the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects while working alongside teams driving connectivity across the Caribbean. Interns have been placed in Supply Chain, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Finance, Business-to-Consumer Sales, Business-to-Business, Technology and Customer Experience. The programme officially began on June 29 with an orientation session led by Melissa Sharif, Senior Manager, People, and supported by members of Flow’s Senior Leadership Team, including Director of Finance Ryan Kranpradie, Marketing Manager Damian Mascoll and Senior Manager, Communications Toni Yarde. The session opened with an interactive icebreaker, where interns introduced themselves, shared their backgrounds and recited affirmations from a “positive pickle” jar. They also received practical advice and career guidance from members of the senior leadership team. Vice President, General Manager, Desron Bynoe, encouraged the interns to make the most of the opportunity. “Ask questions, be curious, be humble and seize this valuable opportunity. Don’t be afraid to take shots because it is in taking shots that you learn how to score and become a prolific goal scorer. Be very curious because it is through curiosity that you grow.” Senior Manager, Retail Sales, Xavier Jeffrey, who began his career at Flow as an intern, also shared his experience. “Don’t be scared to get it wrong or make mistakes. I was in your position many years ago. This is the time to learn. Flow is a supportive and encouraging environment with friendly people who are here to guide and encourage you.” Over the course of the five-week programme, the interns will participate in projects, learning activities and enrichment sessions led by professionals across the business. The programme will conclude with a community outreach project planned and delivered by the interns.
