Latvian Midsummer 'online film festival' available worldwide
The National Film Center’s filmas.lv portal is hosting its traditional “Midsummer Festival,” which this year is centred on the history of cinema and the music calendar; specifically, 2026 marks more or less 'round number' anniversaries for many well-known Latvian composers who have also written music for great films, and the portal has curated a selection of ten films from the anniversary composers’ filmography.
