Belize to enjoy warm and mostly dry weather as new week begins

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can look forward to another day of warm, pleasant weather as relatively dry conditions continue to prevail across the country. According to the National Meteorological Service, today will be sunny with only a few cloudy spells during the day, followed by partly cloudy skies tonight. Shower activity is expected to remain isolated, although there is a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm developing inland this afternoon and over southern areas tonight. Temperatures will remain hot across much of the country, reaching highs of 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 89 degrees along the coast, and 82 degrees in the hills. Marine conditions are expected to be choppy to moderate, with easterly to southeasterly winds blowing between 10 and 20 knots and wave heights ranging from three to six feet. The good weather is expected to continue into Tuesday and Tuesday night, with forecasters predicting mainly fair and warm conditions across Belize. There is also positive news for residents and emergency managers monitoring the tropics. The National Meteorological Service reports that tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the region during the next 48 hours. After weeks of unsettled weather, heavy rainfall, and localized flooding in some areas, the current stretch of sunshine and relatively dry conditions provides a welcome break for communities across the country. Forecaster Derrick Rudon says the warm and stable weather pattern is expected to remain in place as Belize moves through the early part of the week.
