ÖBB is Sending Europe's Most Modern Night Train to Zurich

Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) continues to drive the renaissance of European night train service. With a ceremonial inaugural run, the new generation of Nightjets has officially begun service to Switzerland. According to the railway company, the new models are currently the most modern night trains in Europe. With the gradual expansion—including on the heavily traveled routes from Zurich to Hamburg and from Zurich to Vienna—the ÖBB and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) aim to sustainably strengthen climate-friendly mobility in international long-distance travel.
