Samdech Techo Hun Sen Congratulates Lao President on 70 Years of Cambodia-Laos Diplomatic Relations
(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of Cambodia, sent a congratulatory letter to Lao President and Lao People’s Revolutionary Party General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith on the momentous occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Laos, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Monday (Jun. 15).
In the letter, Samdech Techo stated, “This is indeed an opportune juncture to invigorate our brotherly friendship and robust cooperation, which have endured for hundreds of years, even prior to the establishment of formal diplomatic relations in 1956. I am pleased to observe that our special bilateral ties have been continuously treasured and strengthened under the spirit of good neighbourliness, solidarity, mutual understanding, as well as win-win cooperation.”
“In the context of unpredictable global challenges and complexities, it is even more relevant and significant that our two countries continue to stay in unison and work hand in hand to further consolidate our partnership and capitalize on the full extent of our countries' potential for sustainable economic growth and development, thereby contributing to durable peace, stability, and prosperity in our ASEAN region and beyond,” Samdech Techo added.
He continued, “As we commemorate this historic milestone, I wish to reaffirm my steadfast commitment to working closely with Your Excellency.
