As the U.S. prepares to mark its 250th birthday, questions loom over the celebration (UFC Fight Club matches at the White House aside). Whose America gets remembered, whose gets erased? In a collection called Democracy’s Feminist Future, Ms. magazine set out to tap top thought leaders of today to debut game-changing ideas and propose the next generation of reforms that will catalyze a better future. Their collective wisdom points to how to secure political and social equality, ensure economic justice, codify equality under the law – and finally achieve the American experiment, “a more perfect union” for all.
