Torrential rains, floods kill 11, injure 15 in Afghanistan
KABUL, May 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed and 15 others injured as torrential rains and devastating flash floods swept through multiple provinces in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported on Monday. The deadly weather struck parts of Panjshir, Paktia, Baghlan, and Takhar provinces, according to NDMA spokesperson Hafiz Mohammad Yusuf Hammad.
