BOT Keeps Tanzania Central Bank Rate at 5.75% for Q1 2026; GDP Growth Reached 5.9% in 2025, Driven by Agriculture, Mining, and Construction
The Bank of Tanzania’s Monetary Policy Committee has decided to keep the Central Bank Rate (CBR) at 5.75% in Q1 2026. The decision was taken considering that inflation is projected to remain within the target range of 3–5%. GDP growth is expected to remain strong at 6%.
