FEDA (Forces Elèctriques d’Andorra) closes 2025 with €25.4 million profit
FEDA is the main electricity company in Andorra, responsible for the production, distribution, and sale of energy across the country. Founded to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of electricity, FEDA also develops related energy projects through its subsidiaries: FEDA Ecoterm (district heating and cooling networks), FEDA Solucions (sustainable mobility and energy solutions), and CTRASA (waste treatment and management). FEDA has closed the 2025 financial year with positive results both at the parent company and across its three subsidiaries — FEDA Ecoterm, FEDA Solucions, and CTRASA — in a context marked by moderate energy prices, high hourly volatility, and the execution of significant investments. These results come in the year following the 2022–2023 energy crisis, with a more contained price environment that nonetheless required careful management by the company’s teams. The year-end results also reflect an increase in cash generation and the maintenance of a debt level below that of other companies in the sector. The parent company recorded a profit of €25.4 million as of December 31, consistent with 2024 figures. Highlights of the year include a 7.4% increase in equity, driven by the allocation of reserves and the year’s net income. In parallel, FEDA carried out a capital increase in FEDA Ecoterm to support the subsidiary’s growth, which is progressing in the integration of the district heating networks in Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. Other notable projects include the fourth turbine group at the Ospitalet hydroelectric plant and the Pic del Maià wind farm. FEDA Ecoterm completed almost all planned investments, totaling €7.39 million, and closed the year with a profit of €802,375, slightly higher than the previous year. This result will enable further expansions, both in cooling projects — including the capture of water from the Valira d’Orient — and in extending the network to Soldeu. Meanwhile, FEDA Solucions consolidated the growth initiated in 2024, achieving a profit of €158,533 in a year that saw reinforced projects related to sustainable mobility, such as the Mou-te application and the electric vehicle charging network. Improved results allowed the subsidiary to reduce its debt ratio from 11.23% to 4.38%. Finally, the Waste Treatment Centre (CTRASA) closed 2025 with a profit of €220,820, reversing the losses of approximately €500,000 recorded in 2024, achieving positive results for the first time since joining the group. During the same period, the subsidiary also reduced its debt ratio to 4.33%, seven percentage points lower than the previous year. The post FEDA (Forces Elèctriques d’Andorra) closes 2025 with €25.4 million profit first appeared on All PYRENEES.
