Zimbabwe plans to increase imports of milk, sunflower oil, and agricultural machinery from Belarus.
This was said by Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, Vangelis Haritatos, during a meeting with Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yuri Gorlov, in Belarus. Said Haritatos:
Zimbabwe's milk demand is estimated at 130 million litres per year, and we currently produce 120 million litres.
We are interested in ramping up the output of this product. We also want to buy sunflower oil and agricultural machinery.
Highly productive machinery from Belarus helped us make the most of our land resources and dramatically increase agricultural productivity.
We should keep it up and scale up our partnerships to achieve even greater results.
The Zimbabwean delegation visited Belarus to participate in the Belagro 2025 international exhibition. The visit was part of Zimbabwe’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand cooperation with Belarus in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed proposals to increase and diversify agricultural trade. In 2024, Belarus exported skim milk powder to Zimbabwe, while importing citrus fruits and flowers from the African nation.

Concept“.
